Lisa Marie Boykin (NYU Law '95) is Director of Business & Legal Affairs for Netflix, where she negotiates talent and intellectual property deals for feature films, including agreements with writers, directors, producers, actors, and rights holders. A veteran entertainment lawyer with more than 30 years of experience, Lisa began her legal career at Milbank LLP before holding legal and business affairs leadership roles at The Walt Disney Company, Paramount Pictures, and PBS.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame—where meeting Professor Derrick Bell inspired her to pursue a legal career—Lisa earned a master's degree in International Relations & Diplomacy before graduating from NYU School of Law in 1995. She serves on the NYU School of Law Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board of the Birnbaum Women's Leadership Center, has served on the NYU Law Alumni of Color Association (LACA) Board for 17 years, and has supported the Derrick Bell Lecture at NYU Law since its inception in 1995. Lisa is passionate about mentoring the next generation of lawyers and advancing inclusion in the legal profession.
