Andy Parsons is the Global Head of Content Authenticity at Adobe, leading efforts to create open technologies to verify and authenticate digital content and build systems that improve the way we understand the origin and attribution of media. He leads a team that works to bring transparency and trust to digital content through the Content Authen1city Ini1a1ve (CAI), a global coalition of more than 6000 members from industry, civil society, and journalism — including the Associated Press, The New York Times,The Wall Street Journal, NVIDIA, Publicis, Nikon, Leica, Witness, and Universal Music Group — all united in their commitment to bolstering trust in the digital ecosystem with Content Credentials, a simple, powerful "nutrition label” for content.
In addition, Andy represents Adobe on the Steering Committee of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) and co-chairs its Conformance Task Force. As part of his leadership role with the C2PA, Andy oversees the development and widespread adoption of Content Credentials, which can carry important context about any piece of media such when and how it was made, how AI was used in its creation, who made it, what tools were used—in short, its provenance. He has championed collaboration among leaders across industries who feel a shared sense of urgency to combat the threat of misinformation and deepfakes online with the rise of AI technologies.
Prior to his work with Adobe, Andy founded Workframe, a visual collaboration platform for architecture teams, and co-founded Twill Health, the leading consumer lifetech platform for digital therapeutics. He also led McKinsey’s educational technology group as its CTO. As a leader with deep experience in so\ware engineering, product design, team building, and business strategy, Andy has empowered creative professionals with innovative technologies throughout his career.
A recognized thought leader in content authenticity and provenance, Andy is regularly quoted in media coverage in The New York Times, WIRED, Fast Company, Reuters, MIT Technology Review, The Verge, and many others. In 2024, he was recognized as Technologist of the Year by Fast Company for his contributions in digital provenance. In 2025, he was included on the TIME100 AI list of most influential people in the Innovators category. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tu\s University and earned a Master of Arts in Jazz Composition from the Manha<an School of Music before spending years as a professional jazz musician.
